Hi support,

Is there a way to connect to Dezhi ZOS mainframe using SSL (server authentication)? Typically this will mean to enable port 992 for connection.

Thanks.

As far as I know, no. You might try sending a PM to sysprog and sfan. I've been using Fandezhi for 4 years now, and I think this is the first time this has ever come up.

If anyone is interested, I've setup SSL on the host side a few times and have some notes somewhere.

Thrennan,

Thanks for the reply. I actually wanted to test out connecting SSL to the mainframe. With our user access, is it possible to set up the SSL at the host side ourselves or still requires the admin to help us on that?

I have PM sfan and sysprog, I have not heard from them so far.

:(

Hi Eric,

No, those connections are handled by a started task that can only be modified by a system administrator. It's something global to the whole system, not something that affects just a single userid.
