Guna -
  • In these forums it is not a good idea to tag on to topic that is unrelated to your problem. Start a new topic.
  • It appears to me that when you try to contact CICS your session closes immediately. Is this what is happening? If this is true, then it seems likely CICS is not up. I do not know why.

Someone using your userid attempted to execute an operator command ($SSPL(FSPL01)) that would have damaged the system.

Do you even know what a JES spool file is ? For that matter do you even understand what JES is. Apparently not. Who in the hell instructs you to issue these very special and infrequently used operator commands. What an idiot !

More likely the person followed the option to display spool volumes in the SDSF Primary Options panel, and thought S on the FSPL01 line would display more information. Someone should figure out the RACF profile to prevent SDSF from displaying the option on the Primary Options Menu. I couldn't find it in the V1R6 SDSF manual.

Why not set Panelid on - find the panel in ISPPLIB, edit the panel, add an IF statement or change the VERIFY's to bounce it. I'd do it but I know I'd S913 in accessing ISPPLIB :-)

Wouldn't work. Most, if not all, of the options in the SDSF Primary Options Menu are controlled by RACF SDSF profiles, though the resource names are hard to find. If there is no profile for the corresponding resource, or you have READ for the profile, you see the option.

If you've noticed, the SP option has disappeared from the SDSF Primary Options Menu, so someone retrieved the resource and added it to RACF. A user that knows about the option and tries to use it will get RACFed, and the admins will see the violation.
