IKJ56420I - Userid LRJOHNS not allowed to use TSO.

Id LRJOHNS not working - was canceled yesterday for no apparent reason. I my have left one job in the spool, no other 'rules' violations that I know of. I did make an error causing a missing HLQ (user catalog alias) on a new DSN. This would cause an attempt to use the master catalog which does violate the rules. I would assume there is enforcement in place to prevent this leaving me to question the validity of the rule.

Please help if you can, thank you.

At 23:19:07.81 this appears in SYSLOG -
Code: Select all
ICH408I USER(LRJOHNS ) GROUP(USERG02 ) NAME(LEE JOHNS           )
  CATALOG.Z16.MASTER CL(DATASET ) VOL(Z6SYS1)
  INSUFFICIENT ACCESS AUTHORITY
  FROM CATALOG.**.MASTER (G)
  ACCESS INTENT(UPDATE )  ACCESS ALLOWED(READ   )

This was quickly repeated 5 more times. This is more than the admins will tolerate. They realize everyone will make this goof from time to time; heck, that happened to be last year I think it was, but repeating it many times may be an indication of malice.

I will recommend they reinstate the ID.

Hello

I get the subject message when attempting to logon. Sorry I am new. I posted this way because I am unsure of how to post directly. but I do still have the problem!

First of all, do not hijack threads.

Second, there is no userid CHI4759 on the system. If you created one and never used it, it has been deleted - the admins like to keep the system clean and tidy, and this means that created but never used userids are deleted after a while. If you want to recreate it, you must delete it via the website (to remove it from the non-z/OS userid database) and then recreate it.

CHI4759 does not presently exist. The last reference I can find for the userid was January 1 2015. It shows the ID was created December 28 2014. There is no record that it was ever used. Since it was never used it presumably was deleted February 1 or March 1 2015.

The admins delete userids that have not been used at least 1 month after it has been created. "Active" userids are deleted one year after their last activity.

To restart CHI4759, use the web site to delete the userid and then apply for a new CHI4759, and then, for goodness sake, [b ]use it[/b]!

By the way, in forums like this it is usually considered inappropriate to tag with information unrelated to the thread's topic. This topic is related to Mr. John's inability to logon, not yours.

Thank you all so much. I will follow your instructions. However, as I mentioned in my post, it is not clear to me how to make an original post. I read the FAQs, but sorry it is still unclear to me. It is not my intention to hijack a post.

Many thanks, the allocation occurred in a REXX loop that had incorrect error trapping, that's why the rapid repeat.

Cheers :)
