I am trying to connect to db2 over the internet to download some of my data in excel. I am using the db2 client provided by ibm. Is port 5023 open? Do you have a sample connection string for db2? What is the database server name?

The DB2 port 5023 is open.
You have to refer the product manual to find out how to connect this DB2, as we never test it.
