Regarding Cics File PGM

Dear all,
I tried to write a data from cics to file..its working fine.. then i close the file in cics region.
and seen the content of the file in batch by using print ch ids..
now when i tried to open the file in CICS Region.. it says error in opening file
i used the same command "cemt set file(lfile) op en" ..
why this problem exist?????
i want to add more records for the existing file......!

Please give me your file DSN and it's DD name in CICS.
