Is there a command to clear the screen?

Postby nclouston » Wed 12 May 2010, 19:02

I have Rexx programs that want to start witha clean screen. In various places that I have worked I have used CLEAR, CLS, CLRSCR etc. What is the equivalent here? (I thought I saw an item in the forums regarding this but a search has not brought up th item so apologies if the item is already there!)

You might want to try Doug Nadel's ispclear, which works well. You have to assemble it and put it in ISPLLIB, you need to attach a private library to it, somewhere on the Mainframe FAQ forum you can read how.

Thanks, Robert. I have, at last , managed to get around to doing this.

For others who want this I did the following...
1 - Got the code from the link provided
2 - Assembled via 4.1
3 - Linked via 4.7 specifying 'ISP.SISPLOAD' as an extra SYSLIB library
4 - Copied via 3.3 to my own ISPLLIB
5 - logged out and logged back in.
6 - Ran a Rexx proggy OK
