whenever i try to use cics i get the following error how do i get the transaction id for
userid:sibi81

DFHAC2001 05/13/2010 07:19:14 CICS Transaction '' is not recognized. Check
that the transaction name is correct.

You need to press "Clear", using whatever key your terminal emulator uses to clear the screen. Then you define your transaction etc in CEDA and execute it. You leave CICS using transaction CESF.

And don't ask us how to use CEDA, IBM has very good manuals on-line that tell you what to do. Try the CEDA transaction tutorial.
