DFHAC2001 - CICS Transaction not recognized

Postby mstram1 » Fri 11 Feb 2011, 21:59

I installed some simple CICS programs and transactions a few weeks ago.

Now I'm getting DFHAC2001 when I try to run any of them (MST2, MST3, MST4, MST5, MST6)

What other tools / commands can I use to diagnose the problem ?

thx

Mike

Mike,

I just tried the "INSTALL" command on the group display screen and that seems to have solved the problem. :)

For what it's worth, it might be useful to rename your "MAPSETA" mapset into something a bit more unique, or run the risk that it's overwritten by another one...

Hi Prino,

I thought you didn't "do cics" :) ?

Do you mean you used the CEDA install command ?

If so, that's strange, as it *seemed* that my group (MSTRAM) was already installed, or else the CEDA DI wouldn't have displayed it ?

Hmm, or maybe the group had only been defined but not installed (I know it was installed at one point because the transactions were working).

Thanks for fixing the problem.

Not on FanDeZhi, but I've used it for around 20 years and know my way around it fairly well.

Yes, on the "CEDA DI GROUP(whatever)" screen there is a big blank column, where you can give commands. I just used INSTALL on everything and that did the trick.

Hi Mike,

After you install your group, the CICS got recycled, so it forgets(Initial/Cold starts) all the groups which were installed previously. That's the reason your tran's didn't work. Only the one's in Group List will work.

And to your question "If so, that's strange, as it *seemed* that my group (MSTRAM) was already installed, or else the CEDA DI wouldn't have displayed it ?"

When you can define a resource you see it from CEDA Di, Then you install. It need not be installed to see it from CEDA Di
Thanks
