connection issue : TSO userid : YUSSAF

Hello,

Iam unable to connect to the shot (IP: 99.229.134.125) today. The message I get from the wc3270 emulator is "A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond". The support site is showing that the host is up (green color), currently, and hence it seems that the connection failure is due to denial from the host side. I also get a 'request time out' when I ping to the host IP from the windows command prompt.

However, I have already connected to the same host IP successfully, a couple of times earlier. Why then is the connection not getting established today? My TSO userid is 'YUSSAF'.

Please help.

If you want to be taken seriously, use correct terminology!

There have been some problems lately, but I've been to connect throughout them without any problems. Suggest you just try again. Of course it would have been useful if you had mentioned your IP address...

Sorry about the typo error (as I typed 'shot' instead of 'host'). The connection problem, however, still persists for me. I get the same message that I have stated earlier.
My IP address is 116.202.133.123.

nb. I am new to this forum. I just happened to see that user messages can be edited 'after' submission. So, this would not repeat

Try logging on via Open-BPM to see if that makes any difference.

Thanks!, I am able to connect via Open-BPM.
Very strange that I cannot connect using z/Scope classic v6.2 or wc3270. Any suggestions?

Make sure wc3270 or the other emulator you're using is connecting to fandezhi.efglobe.com. IP addresses change from time to time. The IP address you showed in your initial post is not the current address.
